Slick Pig BBQ was founded in 1995 by John, Jerry, and Teresa Robinson. After finding their passion for barbecue in Georgia, John and his parents moved back to Murfreesboro to share this love with Jerry’s hometown. The restaurant is located in the historic building that formally housed East Main market which was an iconic neighborhood corner store. The restaurant recently has undergone a makeover to better accommodate our wonderful customers. You will find comfortable dine in seating, a patio and a separate area called The Pig Parlor for quick carry out service. You may even find some live music!
For more than 20 years, we have been serving up hickory smoked meats to our loyal customers. You can come by any time of the day and find the five big smokers in operation. We are dedicated to sticking to tried-and-true barbecue tradition. All of our meats are smoked for anywhere between 4 and 14 hours. Our sides and desserts are homemade family recipes passed down for generations through the Robinson family. Preparing this delicious menu for our customers daily is a true labor of love!
